Dear Friends,

Thank you for your commitment to praying and financially supporting the work here in England. Without you collaborating with me in this work, it would be hard to fulfill the Great Commission.

June has been a busy month for the Global Challenge Team and for preparations for the upcoming Outreach.

First, the upcoming Outreach. I had to plan and prepare for five outreaches that will be starting in July and will run through August. We are sending teams to Creadley, Smethwick, Warwick, Southampton and Birmingham. In July, we have a group coming from Canada to work with a church near Birmingham.

Second, I have been busy with wedding plans and planning my trip back to the States. In October, I will bring my new family home to meet as many of you as possible. Our wedding is set for 11 August here in the UK.

In June, the Logos II was in port in Cornwall, England. A team from the ship joined us for a week of outreaches. I took them into the town center for an afternoon of tracting.

On 28 June, I went to Monmouth, Wales, for four days. The purpose of my visit was to encourage our church base team. When I arrived, I received a bit of encouragement when a team member told me of a lady who had asked Christ to come into her life. This happened while they were doing a door-to-door survey. While there, I did a day of door-to-door and tracting and visited the youth club. Oh, by the way, I was given ten minutes in the Sunday Service to do an escape, so I did my strait jacket. While on the door-to-door, I met a number of people who believed in God but had no personal relationship. I took the opportunity to plant some seeds of the Gospel into their lives.

Praise Report:

Not too long ago, I was walking to the Base. It had rained the night before, and it was still raining. As I was walking up a hill, a car was coming down. The driver lost control as the car started to hydroplane. The car missed me I would say by about five feet or so.

Prayer Requests:

Pray for the upcoming outreaches.
Pray for my wedding plans and for my trip to the States in October.
Pray for Lifehope as staff is leaving and we seek the best people to fill the vacancies.

Thank you,

Doug Ambrose
