January Update
Greetings from England,
Thank you for
your continue faithfulness in supporting this work in England
with your prayers and financial gifts of support.
End of December 2010 and start of the January 2011. Saw
the start and finish of the Joy In the City New Year Outreach,
which ran from the 27 December 2010 to 5 January 2011.
Participants came from many different countries just to be apart
of this outreach. Such as countries like, Netherlands, Nigeria,
U.S.A., S. Korea, Germany, Australia, Malaysia, UK, Finland,
Switzerland, Hungary, Slovakia, Russia, Brazil and Mauritius.
There was a total of 35 participants plus 5 leaders totalling
40 in all. Some of the things that they came to do were:
door to door, kids club, international night, homeless and
open-air.
This is the first time in about five years of being on the
Global Challenge team, that I was given the opportunity, for a
more active leadership role. The Global Challenge team was
given chooses of what they wanted to lead. I choose to
lead the open-airs and handle the registration. Later I
was asked to take the lead on for the door to door. Our
purpose was to give a bar of chocolate along with an invite to
the international night that the Operation Mobilization team was
hosting the International night at Lake Side Church. For, more
information on this church go to
www.lakesidechurch.co.uk.
Lakeside Church is Pastor by Andy Hodson, A church plant
located in Brierley Hill a suburb of Birmingham.
Lakeside church is working with people with all kinds of social
and economic needs. This is the same Pastor that is
picture with me in the article I wrote in the current issues of
the Southern Methodist. A result of our efforts on the
door to door work the church saw 20 new contacts for the church
in attendance.
Pray Requests:
Please pray for Pastor Andy and for Lakeside Church.
Pray for these 35 participants to know God’s plan for their
ministry.
Pray the new contact as the church go through the fellow-up.
